Officer-involved shooting under investigation

Texas Rangers are investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place Saturday night, putting a suspect in the hospital and an officer on administrative leave.

The suspect, 25-year-old Kemp resident Anthony Hamm, was shot three times by an officer then taken to Baylor Hospital in Dallas, where he remained in stable condition as of Monday. The Ennis Police Department stated in a press release that he is facing charges related to aggravated assault on a police officer, deadly conduct and attempted murder.
