One arrested, one at large after murder of 17-year-old

WAXAHACHIE — Waxahachie police have made one arrest and were still searching for a second person of interest after a 17-year-old male died as a result of a gunshot wound Tuesday night. According to police, Waxahachie and Cedar Hill Police officers took Jude Shawn Vaughn Jr, 20, of Red Oak into custody in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Gabriel Richie. Vaughn has been charged with capital murder. A traffic stop in the 1000 block of North Joe Wilson Road resulted in this arrest. Read the full story and more in your Weekend edition of The Ennis News.
