One in custody after Waffle House armed robbery


Ennis police have one suspect in custody and are searching for another after an armed robbery at the Waffle House on Thursday morning.
Ennis police said the robbery occurred at 4:11 a.m. after a lone suspect entered the eatery, pointed a handgun and held two employees at gunpoint and demanded money. The Waffle House is located at 105 Chamber of Commerce Dr. Police said the suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot. Investigators spent much of Friday morning interviewing Waffle House employees and witnesses. Police believe two people may have orchestrated the robbery.
