For Cassie Ortiz, the decision to sue Ennis Independent School District was something she believes she had to do. Her feelings of frustration toward school administrators had festered until she could no longer sit around, which is essentially what she had done from October 2015 to February 2016, when she finally made the decision to move forward with the lawsuit.
