Pastor addresses construction of children’s facilities

Summer camp and VBS are just two popular attractions at KidsTown. One of, if not the largest churches in Ennis, the Tabernacle, plans to make an announcement regarding the construction of the 13,000 square foot KidsTown building during the 9:15 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday services on Nov. 25 at 1200 Country Club Road. Senior Pastor, Dr. Todd Gray, has made known the priority of ministering to children, regularly claiming they are the future of the church. On Nov. 12, 2017 church members committed to giving $1.1 million over the next three years towards a $3.5 million construction project called “Building the Future.” At the time, he said “the building is simply a needed conduit. We have the people and the curriculum, what we need is the space.” Architectural plans were designed and the physical work, which began with the demolition of previous, much smaller facilities, commenced nearly a year ago.
