Pieces of CSCOPE remain

Assistant Superintendent Kathy Cikanek dispelled misconception surrounding the embattled CSCOPE program, saying only the lesson plan portion of the system is being removed.

The state’s system of education service centers announced earlier this month that CSCOPE will no longer produce or provide lesson plans for Texas teachers, in response to a debate over perceived anti-American biases and “progressive” leanings.
