Pitts puts education on his list

The head of the House Appropriations Committee said he’s confident the Legislature will be “looking at education funding” in light of a higher revenue estimate from the state’s comptroller.

Rep. Jim Pitts, R-Waxahachie, is careful to say he doesn’t feel like concrete commitments are appropriate when the school funding lawsuit is still in the courts.
