On 3/14/19 at approximately 5:23 a.m., Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers were called to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of US 287 and Pigg Rd. The driver of the passenger vehicle, 63-year-old Marie Chambers, of Waxahachie, was transported by ambulance to Baylor Scott & White Hospital, in Waxahachie, with life-threatening injuries. At the hospital, Mrs. Chambers was pronounced dead by Justice of the Peace #4, Steve Egan.
