Interested parents of young children on the verge of heading into school take note: Ennis Independent School District officials are trying to help you get informed about your options.

The district will host a “Hot Dog Parent Information Night” at 6 p.m. Tuesday as a pre-registration event for Head Start and Pre-K registration slated later in March. Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction Kathy Cikanek said the opportunity is good for all involved.

“It’s important for us because in order to plan for our staff needs for the next year, if people pre-register, it helps us plan more adequately,” Cikanek said. “It assures parents that they get their name in and get information about the difference between Head Start and Pre-K programs.”
