Mary Walker will apparently keep her treasured barrel racing horse Perculatin after the threat of losing him in a sheriff sale Friday morning.

All it cost was $850,000 to win the gelding, also known as Latte, who she rode to victory in the 2012 WPRA World Finals. A company called Rose Thorn, L.P. submitted the winning bid Friday, said Lt. Michael Tobey with the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office.
