Red, White & True Blue

Paul Richter has experienced his share of the best and worst of life in his 90 years. An old saying by Carl Perkins relates well: “If it weren’t for the rocks in its bed, the stream would have no song.”
Through it all he remains positive, patriotic and persistent.

He is also quite a storyteller. Many of his life’s lessons come from his three years in the Army.

Having served in World War II, Richter (RIK-ter) is one of 855,070 veterans still alive. With 492 comrades dying daily, it is estimated by year 2036 there will be no living veterans of WWII left to recount their experiences.
