When No. 7 ranked Ennis faces No. 3 Timberview on Friday in Mansfield, a rematch of their season opener, the storylines will be clear.

What is known about the second round meeting is the winner may gain an edge that could propel them as the Class 5A championship favorite. Or at least until next week, when either the Lions (9-2) or Timberwolves (10-1) are pitted against the winner between The Colony (8-3) and Mesquite Poteet (10-1).
