Rosales given 28 days jail time, probation

A former Ennis municipal court clerk who stole from the Ennis Police Department was sentenced to 28 days in jail, given 10 years probation and will have to pay back the more than $100,000 she took between2012 and 2015 as part of a plea deal with county prosecutors.
An Ellis County grand jury indicted Anna Rosales on second-degree felony theft charges after officials with the Ennis Police Department said her sudden resignation in November 2015 prompted an audit of court records, which revealed Rosales pocketed cash transactions paid to the court.
