Sales tax revenue jumps 25 percent for Ennis

The City of Ennis reported a sales tax revenue increase in excess of 25 percent for year-to-date August 2016, according to a report by the Texas Comptroller of Public Account’s office, numbers prompting City Manager Scott Dixon to say, “These look fantastic.”

According to the report, Ennis jumped from $3,204,435.74 in August 2015 to 4,030,269.28 to date in 2016.
