Marshall named new Avalon supt. – Del Bosque says successor has ‘innate perch’


Lone finalist Khris Marshall has been officially named the new superintendent of the Avalon ISD, effective following the 25-year term of Dr. David Del Bosque, whose term runs through June. Marshall, a 1992 graduate and star athlete at Ennis High School, was tendered a contract and declared the new superintendent by the school board of trustees on March 21. Marshall, 45, played quarterback for the Lions for two seasons and was a standout in both basketball and track.
