Scofflaws can be denied registration

Ellis County residents who don’t pay their tolls will have an unpleasant surprise as early as April.

The Ellis County Commissioners Court voted 3-1 to approve a measure denying vehicle registration to anyone deemed a “habitual toll violator” by the North Texas Toll Authority. Tax Assessor John Bridges spoke before the court along with two NTTA representatives about the new policy.
