After leading the Ennis High School girls softball team to new heights during the past decade, head coach Rodney McNeill has resigned to accept an offer to become an assistant principal at Ennis Junior High.
He confirmed on Tuesday that he had also stepped down as the varsity head coach after a successful 10-year stint with the Lady Lions. The team has set school records in victories during each of the past four seasons, including a 39-6-1 mark this spring that ended in the state championship game.
