Nick Todaro, nick@ennisdailynews.com

Ennis again posted gains in its sales tax revenue totals for the month of February.

About $327,000 in revenues for the month, representing sales logged in January, translate to a 4.89 percent gain for the city’s coffers over the same month last year. It was outpaced strongly by Midlothian, where $490,000 in sales taxes were collected — a 36.57-percent gain year-over-year.
