Trial in officer’s death continues

The state on Tuesday began its case against the 24-year-old man accused of killing a Waxahachie police officer in a drunk driving incident.
Dylyn Reed Richards pleaded not guilty to the charge of intoxication manslaughter resulting in the death of the peace officer. The charges stem from a July 28, 2012 incident in which he is suspected of causing the death of 28-year old Waxahachie Police Department Officer Joshua Stanley Williams.
