Trustee breaks out of lockup

Phil Banker, phil@ennisdailynews.com

The Ellis County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating how a trustee was able to unlock a secure door and briefly escape the Wayne McCollum Detention Center on Saturday. Brearley said Adcock fled for 10 minutes before a detention officer caught up with him, reaching him at a creek south of the jail.
