Voters turn down Waxahachie ISD propositions

WAXAHACHIE — Voters in Ellis County voted no to two Waxahachie ISD proposals on Tuesday. The two propositions totaled $78 million and included two new elementary campuses and a natatorium. When the ballots were counted, voters turned down two new campuses with 2,191 (59 percent) votes against and only 1,508 (34 percent) in favor. Voters also turned down a request for the construction of a natatorium by casting 2,428 (65 percent) against while only 1,264 (40 percent) were in favor.
