Woman booked for identity fraud

A 44-year-old woman was arrested on Friday after she allegedly used a relative’s personal information to open fraudulent utility accounts.

Lt. Mike Hopson, head of the Ennis Police Department’s criminal investigation division, said the arrest stems from a case which allegedly began in July 2013 when a local Ennis man reported two utility accounts opened using his social security number without his knowledge.
