Controversial football coach Art Briles, considered disgraced by some or a scapegoat by others, was hired in northeast Texas three years after being fired by Baylor.
The former Baylor coach who was let go in May of 2016 amid a sexual assault scandal at the Baptist school in Waco. He was signed to lead Mount Vernon, whose Tigers went 9-6 after finishing third in District 7-3A.
