Statewide Bass Fishing Season started for scores of high school teams, including Ennis. Last weekend they sent 11 teams, which consist of solo and duo anglers, along with a boat captain, to Lake Palestine. Two Ennis teams caught three bass apiece that met the size requirements, while three others finished the day with one catch. It was not a whopper of a day, but a better start than a year ago.
