A 5’5 cross country runner at Avalon H.S., Jake Ozymy accomplished a rare feat this fall by qualifying for the UIL State Cross Country meet on Nov. 23, at Old Settlers Park in Round Rock, Texas. The Ennis resident finished a distance from the leaders, but still took 93rd in a field of 120. The HC at Avalon is Khris Marshall, the Head of Schools.
