When Mamie (Mrs. Isadore) Cerf died in 1962, her mansion was left to the city of Ennis for use as community offices. She also left a trust fund of $10,000 to the Corsicana Hebrew Cemetery Association. Although a resident of Ennis for 64 years, Mamie was born and raised in Corsicana. Her home was unfortunately condemned by the city and dismantled. It’s now the site of the Ennis Public Library.
