Albert “Sonny Boy” Arthur

2073499Albert “Sonny Boy” Arthur, 70, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. Sonny Boy was born in Fort Worth, Texas on July 29, 1942 to Albert and Edith Marie (Reed) Arthur. He grew up in Fort Worth and attended school there. On January 25, 1979 he married Linda Walling and they made their home in Garrett, Texas. He worked for Dallas City Packing for over thirty years until his retirement in 1995 in the maintenance department. He enjoyed wood-working, fishing, painting in oils and pastels, Nascar and camping. He is survived by sons: Kelly Arthur and his wife Sally of Bristol and Vince Arthur of Bristol; step-son, Jason Curry of Dallas; daughter, Casey and her husband Rodney Caldwell of Palmer; his first wife, Barbara Pistole of Bristol; eleven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two brothers: Tommy Arthur and John Arthur both of Fort Worth and two sisters: Edith Norris of Justin and Judy Childs of Fort Worth. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Linda Arthur on June 15, 2012 and four sisters. Memorial services were held on Monday, April 29, 2013 at 1 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Palmer. www.jekeevermortuary.com
