Alice Holy Toupal Burleson

Alice Holy Toupal Burleson, 89, passed away in Carrollton, Texas on Sunday, August 27, 2017.
Alice was born in Ennis, Texas on August 7, 1928 to Frank Louis and Philomena (Svehlak) Holy. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from St. John High School in 1946. She was married to Frank Toupal in 1949 and they lived in Dallas. Following Frank’s death in 1958 she moved to Ennis. She married Jimmy Burleson in 1970 and they lived in Dallas and Carrollton.
She worked for thirty-three years as an Insurance Account Executive for Murray Insurance. She was a member of St Catherine of Scion Catholic Church and KJZT. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and cooking. Her family was the joy and light of her life.
She is survived by sons: Frank Toupal and Terry Toupal and wife, Karen; daughter, Donna Thompson and husband, Ray; grandson, Craig Warren; great-grandchild, Peyton Warren; brothers: Dennis Holy and Sylvester Holy and sisters: Mildred Dlabaj and Evelyn Prachyl.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and both husbands.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 1, 2017 at 10 a.m. in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
