Angel Robert Benavidez, 21, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011.

He was born in Waxahachie, Texas on May 4, 1990 to Robert and Gena (Percival) Benavidez. Angel attended Ennis schools and graduated from Ennis High School in 2008. He and his wife, Daena, were married April 23, 2010. They made their home in Ennis.

He worked for Sterilite in Ennis for two years as a Machine Operator.

Angel attended the CrossPoint Baptist Church and St. John Catholic Church in Ennis.

Angel is survived by his wife, Daena Benavidez; daughter, Breona Benavidez; grandmother, Polly Percival; mother, Gena Percival; father, Robert Benavidez; sisters: Monica Moore and Krystal Martinez; uncles, Corey Percival and Troy Vyers, aunt, Shelly Vyers; father-in-law, Amado Espino; mother-in-law, Margerita Espino; brother-in-law: Mario Espino; sisters-in-law: Claudio Espino and Samantha Cox; niece, Audrey and her husband Cuellar; a host of friends, as all who knew Angel were closely related in Angel’s heart.

Angel is preceded in death by his grandfather, Billy Percival; grandfather-in-law, Felician Andrade and best friends Miguel Cardona and Bobby Howell.

Pallbearers will be: Amado Espino, Mario Espino, Jimmy Zamarippa, Jamie Castillo, Efren Espino, Josh Toth, Paul Phillips, Steven Robinson, Kordel Griffen, Kori Robinson, Daniel Pedraza, Donnie Anderson, Mayel Robledo, Michael Warreen, Anthony Williams, Edgar Espino, Randy Vyers and Brent Thomas. Honorary Pallbearers: Jamie Espino, Jacques Kidd, Nick Benavidez and Jake Benavidez.

Visitation will be Thursday, May 26, 2011 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. recited by Hector Martinez in the Keever Chapel in Ennis.

A Celebration of Angel’s Life will be held Friday, May 27, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Ennis with Rev. Edwin Lipsey officiating. Interment will be in Myrtle Cemetery, under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
