Audrey Ann Minatrea (1943-2019)

Audrey Ann Minatrea, 76, passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday, June 2, 2019 in Ennis, Texas. Audrey was born in Mart, Texas on February 1, 1943 to Roy Howard and Ona Odell (Maiden) Walker. She grew up in Groesbeck and graduated from Groesbeck High School. On March 15, 1969 she married her sweetheart Jimmy Minatrea and they made their home in Ennis. Audrey worked at Gibson’s in Ennis for several years as a product buyer, for Royal Park Fashions as a department supervisor and for Ennis Business Forms as a billing clerk. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Baylor Baptist Church. Audrey enjoyed traveling, cooking, arts and crafts and was a very talented oil painter. Audrey is survived by her husband of over fifty years, Jimmy Minatrea; daughters: Gayle Kriska and husband, Eddie, Leisha Prachyl, Terrie Alcala and husband, Lee, Jackie Minatrea, Christi Kallemeyer and Dinna Zambrano and husband, Joe; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. Audrey is preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Nelda Fewell; a son, Timmy Minatrea and a granddaughter, Tosha Minatrea. Visitation was held on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. A Celebration of her life was held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 5, 2019, in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.
