Bess Heine

Bess Heine, 80, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 in Dallas. Bess was born on May 11, 1932 to Floyd and Julia (Davis) Woodard in Long Cedar, Texas. She grew up throughout Ellis County following her family as they worked on several farms picking cotton. She married Horace Heine and they were married for twenty years. She worked for Tucker’s Café and The Western Café for many years as a waitress. She also worked for Ennis Business Forms for a few years. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church since 1952 and served as the president of her Sunday School Class. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a great cook and loved to talent with her family and friends. She is survived by daughter, Becky and her husband, Don Rose of Ennis; four grandchildren: Jeremy Rose and his wife, Cindy, Julie and her husband Jean Beebe, Richard Hoover and his wife, Latisha and Wesley Hoover; great-grandchildren; Chris, Courtney, Catherine, Kayla and Ivanna; brother, Donald Woodard and his wife, Mary; three sisters: Juanita Young, Charlene Hollowell and Laverne and her husband, Larry Oliver along with many nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Horace Heine, two sons: Randy Hoover, Floyd Hoover, two brothers: Jack Woodard, J.P Woodard, one sister Dee Patterson and first husband Buddy Hoover. Visitation will be on Sunday, July 15, 2012 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will be held on Monday, July 16, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Rev. Richard Moody officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. www.jekeevermortuary.com
