Billy H. Campbell

Billy H. Campbell, 68, passed away at his home in Palmer on Sunday, March 27, 2011.

Billy was born in Ennis, Texas to J.R. and Mamie (Gullion) Campbell on December 4, 1942. He grew up in Garrett and graduated from Palmer High School. On August 9, 1959 he married Rosemary Tignor and they made their home in Garrett, until moving to Ennis in 1961 and then to Palmer in 1998.

He worked for Southern Pacific Railroad as a conductor for thirty-seven years. He was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He enjoyed cars and sports involving shooting.

He is survived by his wife, Rosemary Campbell of Palmer; two sons: Kevin Campbell and his wife, Jennifer of Azle, Texas and Kirk Campbell and his wife, Melissa of Garrett; one grandchild, Jeremy Campbell and one sister, Ruby Nell Martin of Dallas.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at 4 p.m. in the Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 29, 2011 from 6 until 8 p.m. at the J.E. Keever Chapel of Palmer.
