Carl W. Thompson

Carl W. Thompson, Sr., 50, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Saturday, November 2, 2013. Carl was born in DeKalb, Mississippi on October 5, 1963 to E. B. and Mary F. (Peden) Thompson. He grew up in Ennis and attended Ennis High School. He worked for Leggett and Platt for four years and was a Trim Carpenter for over twenty-five years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren. He is survived by his mother, Mary Thompson; sons: Carl “C.J.” Thompson, Jr. and his wife Shayna, and Matthew Thompson; three grandchildren: Katelyn, Mason and Camryn; one brother, Mark Thompson and two sisters: Cynthia Roberts and Melinda Kazee. He is preceded in death by his father, E. B. Thompson in 1996. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. www.jekeevermortuary.com
