Carol Waedekin

2409557Carol Waedekin, 75, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2014 in Dallas, Texas. Carol was born on August 22, 1938 to Raymond Lee and Reba B. (Stewart) Easley in Oak Cliff, Texas. She grew up in Oak Cliff and graduated from Sunset High School in 1956. On April 26, 1963 she married John E. Waedekin, Sr. and they made their home in Hurst before moving to Ennis in 1972. She worked for Nationwide Computers and Ennis Business Forms before starting her own company the Clean Team. She was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis. She enjoyed ceramics, working with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts along with being a Band Booster. She is survived by sons: John Waedekin, Jr. and wife, Karen and Jerry Allen Waedekin and wife, Laura; daughter, Rene Whitley and husband, Ronney; seven grandchildren: three great-grandchildren: brother, Steven Lee Easley; sister, Suzanne Schmit along with many extended family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; Raymond and Reba Easley and her husband, John E. Waedekin, Sr. on July 26, 2001. Visitation was held on Monday, February 10, 2014 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life took place on Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis with Father John Dick officiating. Interment followed in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc. www.jekeevermortuary.com
