Carolyn Jo Howard

Carolyn Jo Howard, 79, passed away in Dallas, Texas after a short illness on Thursday, March 8, 2018. Carolyn was born in Dallas, Texas on November 24, 1938 to Adolphus M. and Louise (Hendrix) Goodwin. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School. On June 6, 1957 she married Thomas Lee Howard and they made their home in Waco, Texas until moving to Ennis in 1963. She received an associates degree in Medical Technology in 1974 and went to work at the Ennis Municipal Hospital that later became Baylor Hospital of Ennis where she worked as the director of laboratory and radiology until her retirement. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #104. She enjoyed bowling and bowled many years on leagues in Ennis. She was an avid fisherman and could be found on the lake anytime she was not working. She is survived by her son, Thomas Lee Howard, Jr. and wife, Delia; grandchildren: Tina, April and Rikki; great-grandchildren: Angelina, Lloyd Jr., Anisa, Adilynn Grace and Isley. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband, Thomas Lee Howard. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis . Graveside service will take place on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 2 p.m. in Myrtle Cemetery in Ennis.
