Carrol Bailey Scott

Carrol Bailey Scott, 58, passed away in Palmer, Texas on Friday, September 1, 2017. Carrol was born in Haltom City, Texas on October 18, 1958 to James and Louise Marie (Russell) Bailey. She grew up in Euless and Red Oak and attended school in Euless. She moved to Palmer in 2000. She worked for MISD for eleven years in the housekeeping department and for D & J Clean Up preparing new homes after construction. She was a Baptist. She enjoyed bingo and her family especially her grandchildren were the light of her life. She is survived by her best friend of twenty years, Billy Hanks; one son, Jeramie Willis; two daughters: Teresa Verellen and Misty Edwards and husband, Charles; seven grandchildren: Destainie Anderson, James Anderson, Gabreail Anderson, Braxton Verellen, Amerikis Cornet, Chloe Cornett and Bryson Edwards; one great-grandchild, Alexandria Drake; one brother, James H. Bailey and three sisters: Gladys Stokes, Wanda Stokes and Christy Morgan. She is preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Dillon Willis. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 7, 2017 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Palmer, Texas. A Celebration of her life will take place on Friday, September 8, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Palmer with Charles Edwards officiating. Pallbearers will be Charles Edwards, John Treadway, James Treadway, James Anderson, Garrett Pheols, Brad Rhodes and Bryon Edwards. Interment will follow in Palmer Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
