Clara Ann Langley

Clara Ann Langley, 89, passed away in Fort Worth, Texas on Tuesday, March 27, 2012.
Clara was born in Alma, Texas to William Thomas and Clara Lee (Turner) Langley. She grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ursuline Academy in 1941. She received her Bachelor’s of Education and her Master’s in Reading-Counseling all from Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas. She stayed in San Antonio after finishing school. She had forty-five years in the education field including working for San Antonio ISD as a reading specialist.
She was a member of Saint Matthews Catholic Church in San Antonio and attended Saint Peter’s Catholic Church in Fort Worth. She loved social activities at her retirement center and her beloved dogs.
She is survived by one brother: Kenneth Paul Langley of Ennis; one sister: Laura Marie Weldon of Garland along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 28, 2012 with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. led by Deacon Wendell Geiger of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Catholic Church of Ennis with Rev. Antonio Ormaza as officiate. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery of Ennis under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
