David Herrera
David Herrera, 61, passed away in Waxahachie, Texas on Saturday, March 28, 2015.
David was born in Robstown, Texas on July 6, 1953, to Gabino and Agustina (Vera) Herrera, Sr. He grew up in Robstown, Texas and graduated from Calallen High School in 1972. He made his home in Irving for several years before moving to Ennis in 2010.
He worked for Republic Services for over twenty-two years as a driver. He was a member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis. He enjoyed gambling, softball and football.
He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Herrera; daughters: Jennifer Herrera, Stefanie Herrera and step-daughter Loraine Goforth; seven grandchildren: two brothers: Delfino Herrera and Ricardo Herrera and five sisters: Beatrice McCoy, Juanita Herrera, Josephine Byrd, Oralia Herrera and Virginia Goforth.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. with Rosary at 7 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis. Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 10 a.m. in the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church of Ennis with Father John Dick as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
