David Raymond Hrnjak

David Raymond Hrnjak, 72, of Ennis, Texas, passed away surrounded by his family on June 22, 2015.

He was born on September 23, 1942, in Tucumcari, New Mexico, to Ray and Virginia Bell (Thomas) Hrnjak. He grew up in West Allis, Wisconsin and attended school at Greendale High School. On September 7, 1960, he married Elaine Koelsch. He served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corp serving during the Cuban Crisis.

He worked for Elk Corporation for fifteen years as a maintaince mechanic and a heavy equipment operator for Local #139 Union. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a fan of country music and enjoyed dancing. His family was the joy of his life especially his grandchildren.

He will be remembered by all who knew him and his memory will be cherished most by his family including the love of his life and his best friend, Elaine (Koelsch) Hrnjak; daughters: Linda Hrnjak, Cindy Bowman and husband Bob, Debbie Lea and husband Matt, and Darlene Orvis; sons: David Hrnjak and wife Tami, Paul Hrnjak and wife, Karen, and Chad Hrnjak and wife, Kim; nineteen grandchildren: thirty great-grandchildren; one brother Don Hrnjak and a host of other family members.

He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Ruth Estelle.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the Hand in Hand Hospice for their love and support in his final days.
