Donald Lee York

2040321Donald Lee York, 68, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Saturday, March 30, 2013. Donald was born in Ennis, Texas on September 16, 1944 to Manuel and Mildred (Laza) York. He grew up in Ennis and graduated from Ennis High School in 1963. He served his country proudly in the United States Air Force. He worked for General Dynamics and Laza & Co., Inc. as a general manager and for Leggett and Platt Inc for over thirty years as a plant manager. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, and past president of the Ennis Sokol. He enjoyed his dogs, muscle cars, hunting, fishing and Harley-Davidsons. He is survived by two aunts: Hattie Laza Knowlton of Irving and Clara (Mrs. Ed) Laza of Richardson along with numerous loving cousins. Visitation will be on Friday, April 5, 2013 from 10 a.m. until service time in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of his life will take place on Friday, April 5, 2013 at 11a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E.
