Eloise Calhoun

Eloise Calhoun, 89, passed away in Ennis, Texas on Wednesday, May 1, 2013. Eloise was born on August 21, 1923 to Thomas and Geraldine (Baldridge) Holland in Alma, Texas. She worked for many years at Dan’s Towne House and then for Ray Glenn and Jerry Wester at the Avenue Drive In. She was a member of the Fundamental Baptist Church of Palmer and a former member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Ennis. She was also a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She loved all of her large family and they all knew how much she loved and cared for them. She is survived by sons: Butch Calhoun and Reggie Calhoun; daughters: Sandra Kinsler, Sharon and her husband, Harry Gooch, Nancy and her husband, Everett Robinson, Debra Williams and Dana Farris; twelve grandchildren: thirty great-grandchildren: two great-great-grandchildren and one sister Melba Smith. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Wayland, Thomas and Kenneth Holland and one grandson, Shaun Robinson. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. A Celebration of her life will take place in the Fundamental Baptist Church of Palmer on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Gary Miller and James Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
