Frances Carlene Brown


Funeral service for Mrs. Frances Carlene Brown, 82, of Big Sandy, Texas, was held 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 22, 2019, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Ballard and Rev. Chad Lee officiating, interment followed the service at Sunset Memorial Park. Family received friends Tuesday, May 21, 2019, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Brown passed away Monday, May 20, 2019, at her home in Big Sandy. Mrs. Brown was born on November 15, 1936, in Dallas, Texas to the late Carl and Mary Ann Slama Dandridge. She married William E. “Bill” Brown in Dallas on December 30, 1954, he precedes her in death. Frances was a banking trust administrator and a member of the First Baptist Church in Big Sandy. Mrs. Brown is survived by her sons, Andy Brown and his wife, Deann, Rusty Brown and his wife, Ara; sisters, Lillian Jaska, Ruth Ann Davis and her husband, Alan; cousin, Linda Bonds; six grandchildren, Chance Brown, Justin Brown and his wife, Megan, Russell Kelley Brown, Kacie Wallace and her husband, Andrew, Brady Brown, and Matthew Brown; and ten great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. Pallbearers for Mrs. Brown’s service were Chance Brown, Justin Brown, Russ Brown, Andrew Wallace, Brady Brown, and Alan Davis.
