Freddie Christian, 82, passed away in Dallas, Texas on Wednesday, March 23, 2016.

Freddie was born in Walton, Texas on September 15, 1933. Her parents were Truman and Jenny (Byron)

Whitehead. She grew up in the Texas Baptist Home for Children in Waxahachie, Texas and attended Waxahachie High

School. In November of 1950 she married Cecil Christian and they made their home in Ennis.

She worked for Ennis Business Forms for eight years. She was a member of the Garrett Baptist Church and the

VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing and cooking, and her pantry was filled with canned vegetables and preserves from

Cecil’s garden. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family. She also loved sharing her musical talents with

her church.

She will be missed by all who knew her and her memory will be cherished most by her loving family including her

husband of over sixty-five years, Cecil Christian; sons: David Christian and wife, Marsha and Danny Christian;

daughters: Debra Albertini and husband, Rae and Linda Kyser and husband, Clarence; eight grandchildren: fifteen

great-grandchildren and one half-sister, Billie Gibbs.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Gary Christian and one half-brother, Kelly Whitehead.

Visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2016 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.

A Celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis

with Rev. Keith Bates officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary,
