George V. Zabojnik 1959 – 2019


George V. Zabojnik, 59, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019. He was born on June 25, 1959 in Dallas, Texas to Victor and Georgie Tupy Zabojnik. In 1965, his family moved to Ennis, Texas where he attended St. John Catholic School. In 1977 George graduated from Ennis High School. He was a machinist by trade and a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church and the SPJST. His hobbies included hunting, fishing, cars and motorcycles. Since 2005, George has spent his life in a nursing facility due to a serious motorcycle accident which left him with a severe brain injury. He is survived by two sisters: Barbara and Rorie Harris and Lisa and William Sullivan. He is also survived by one niece, Paige Tignor and two nephews: Pierce Tignor and Preston Sullivan. George is preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis with Rosary at 7 p.m. Graveside services will be held in the Crisp Cemetery on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at 11 a.m. with William Sullivan officiating under the direction of J.E.
