Greg T. Tucker

A loving father, son and brother, Gregory Thomas Tucker passed away on Sunday, August 12. He was 51. Greg was born in Ennis, Texas and later moved to Carrollton, Texas where he attended school. He graduated from Newman Smith High School in Carrollton,with a baseball scholarship to Athens Junior College. He went on to join the Army and proudly served his country for seven years with the 5th Special Forces Group at Ft. Campbell.. Greg entered the private sector and worked as a machinery technician and installation specialist. He enjoyed his work and was able to travel overseas extensively. Greg loved to fish, especially deep-sea fishing. He enjoyed sports and outdoor activities, enjoyed photographing his travels, and had a passion for target shooting. He is survived by his mother, Peggy Holland Rankin, brother Benjamin Tucker, son Mitchell Thomas Tucker, daughter Marissa Rene Tucker and grandson Matthew Thomas Tucker. Aunt Laura Holland D’Elena and husband Fred and their children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his father Denny Tucker and step father Randy Rankin. His grandparents, Thomas and Juanita Holland and Dan and Dorothy Tucker. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to American Liver Foundation or a charity of your choice. A Celebration of his life was held on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis. Interment followed in Myrtle Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
