Harry Mach

Harry E. Mach, 78, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 in Ennis, Texas. Harry was born in Ennis, Texas on July 17, 1940 to Frank and Josephine (Honza) Mach. He grew up in Ennis and Creechville and graduated from St. John High School. On June 8, 1963 he married Christine Kubin and they made their home in Ennis. He served in the U. S. Army National Guard. He worked for Southern Auto, Southern Pacific for seventeen years as a Car Man, was a farmer and raised cattle. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, KJT and KJZT. He loved his family and they were the most important thing in his life. He enjoyed coin collecting and listening to Czech music. He is survived by his wife of over fifty-five years, Christine Mach; son, Harry Edward “Eddie” Mach and fiancé, Stephanie; grandchild, Hayden Edward Mach; two great-grandchildren; Paige and Bryson. He is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter, Casey Mayfield, two brothers and four sisters. Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 from 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. Rosary was recited at 2 p.m. followed by the Liturgy outside of Mass with Deacon Lewis Palos officiating. Pallbearers were Matt Vavra, Hunter Smith, Hayden Mach, Dennis Nekuza, Bruce Kubin and James Sanders. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
