Jack E. Kelso

Jack E. Kelso, 82, passed away on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at Legend Oaks Nursing Home of Ennis.

Jack was born in Fort Worth, Texas on February 7, 1929 to James A. and Bessie (Felts) Kelso. He grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Paschal High School and later attended Texas A&M University. On December 29, 1963 he married Elva Petterson. He was a Senior Master Sergeant with the United States Air Force for more than twenty years.

He was a co-owner of Typewriter Supply Company for more than 15 years. He was a volunteer with the Red Cross for more than ten years.

He is survived by his wife, Elva P. Kelso: two daughters; Jody and her husband, Randy Caldwell of Ennis and Jan and her husband, Mike Fitz of Apollo Beach, Florida; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and one daughter Jackie Kelso in 2005.

Memorial services will take place in the Belton Cemetery at a later date.
