James E. Wilson

James E. Wilson, 81, of Ennis went home to hold his wife’s hand on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 in Whitney, Texas. James was born the 6th child of 11 to Jonas Murphy and Rhoda (White) Wilson on Friday morning, February 5, 1937. He served our military in the United States Air Force from 1955-1959. He met and married Barbara Ann Fuller on October 9, 1959. They were married 42 years and made their home in Ennis for the majority of those years. He worked in the glass business for 37 years all around the metroplex. He was often referred to as one of the best glass men for many years. He loved anything his wife cooked, fishing, where he could always catch a turtle if one was close by, watching old western TV and old school country music. He is survived by one daughter, Kathaleen Wilson Taylor and husband, John; son, Richard Wilson and wife, Judy; five grandchildren: Trey Taylor, Amelia Meazell and husband, Micah, Jarrod Wilson, Kelsea Wilson and Lexey Wilson; one great-grandson, Jude Meazell; two brothers: Larry Wilson and wife, Carlotta and Roger Wilson; two sisters: Kathrine Bennett and Linda Hughes; sister-in-law, Linda Fuller; a host of nieces and nephews; special nephews: Gary Wilson and Jackie Lynn Wilson who preceded him in death in 2009 and a special niece Audrey Sav. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 in the Crisp Cemetery with Micah A. Meazell officiating under the direction of J.E. Keever Mortuary, Inc.
