Jerry Milton Kopec

Jerry Milton Kopec, 92, died September 21, 2015, in Waco, Texas.
He was born to John and Josephine Kopec on September 6, 1923, in Bardwell, Texas.
Jerry grew up and attended school in Ennis, Texas. He proudly served his country during World War II in the Army Air Corps from 1942 through 1946.
Jerry married Mary Crow on May 12, 1950. They had sixty-five years of being united as man and wife. They lived in Dallas until 1965. They moved to Ennis and lived there until he retired in 2006 and moved to Waco. He was ordained as a deacon on January 8, 1961, at North Temple Baptist Church in Dallas.
He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Elizabeth Priddy, Helen Bailey, Mildred Titsworth, Leona Simmons and Pauline Kopec; brothers: Joe, Charlie and Johnny Kopec.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Kopec; daughter, Cindy Daily and husband, Randy; son, Kenneth “Kenny” Kopec and wife, Dianna; four grandchildren: Justin Kopec, Ryan Daily and wife, Jennifer, Kari Rounsavall and husband, Michael and Russell Daily and wife, Wyndi; six great-grandchildren: Madilyn and Trinity Kopec, Kyler, Jaden and Haven Rounsa­vall and Caroline Daily.
He was a man who loved his Lord he led his family by example-Love of God and Family.
God called him home and said “Well done good and faithful servant” Mat­thew 25:23.
Visitation will be on Thursday, September 24, 2015, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary of Ennis.
A Celebration of his life will take place on Thursday, September 24, 2015, at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel with Rev. John Hill and Rev. Don McCauley officiating.
