Jese Martinez

Jese Martinez, 49, passed away in Waxahachie, Texas on Tuesday, November 27, 2018.

Jese was born in Ennis, Texas on July 27, 1969 to Jose and Gloria (Garcia) Martinez. He grew up in Ennis and attended Ennis High School. On June 8, 2003 he married Desiree Shook and they made their home in Ennis.

He worked for Pollan’s Furniture for three years as a delivery person. He was a member of St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church. He loved Hispanic music. He loved bar-b-que, football and especially watching his son Anthony play for the Ennis Lions.

He is survived by his wife, Desiree Shook Martinez; sons: Zachary Wheeler and wife, Sara and Anthony Martinez; brothers: Fred Martinez and wife, Martha and Adam Martinez and wife, Tammy; sisters: Lois Carrillo and husband, Mike, Linda Moreno and husband, Steven; four grandchildren: Hayden, Haylee, Tristan and Tobias along with a host of extended family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, children: Jorge Martinez, Mia Martinez and Sabrina Martinez, one brother and two sisters.

Visitation was held on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.

A Celebration of his life was held held on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the J.E. Keever Mortuary Chapel of Ennis.
